Presidents Message

Welcome to the Official Website of the Coolamon Lions Club. On behalf of the members of the Club, I welcome you and encourage you to explore the site which we hope will open up to you the value in becoming a member of the LIONS Family. The Coolamon Lions Club has been in existence for thirty years, having been chartered in 1979. The Club has a long history of service to the community and enjoys strong support in the local community. The Club embraces service minded people who not only want to belong to an organisation which has a world-wide reputation for charitable work but also enjoys the many social benefits which come with club membership.

For a number of years now, Coolamon Lions have operated the Paper Recycling Shed with the funds raised being put back into the local community. LIONS operate a food van and BBQ which can be found at most community events. LIONS also manage a section of the Coolamon-Wagga Road and members regularly participate in clean up projects. The Coolamon Lions Club celebrated thirty four years of service to the community at the Club's annual changeover dinner at the Coolamon Sport & Recreation Club. Lions and their guests gathered to welcome incoming President Lion Graham Dennis and his team and to congratulate outgoing President Lion Geoff Glass.

In his report o the dinner, Out Going President Geoff Glass highlighted a number of achievements of the Lions Club in the past welve months including Lions support for the installation of the Reg Godde Collection as part of the Up to Date Store Precinct. This important local collection will be enjoyed by the community for many years to come thanks to Lions.

Lion Brian Favero of the South Wagga Lions Club performed the installation ceremony for the incoming Board. This was significant as Lion Brian presided over the Coolamon Lions Club inagural installation some thirty four years ago.
